The Statistics and Bioinformatics Unit (UEB-USMIB) is a service unit from the Scientific Support Area of the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR - www.vhir.org).
Its mission is to offer support to biomedical researchers, mainly by providing them with different types of statistical and methodological advice, as well as analysis of biomedical and “omics” data, such as genomics, transcriptomics or metagenomics, coming from high-throughput technologies such as microarrays or next generation sequencing. The unit also offers consultancy and specific training in topics related to bioinformatics, biostatistics and clinical methodology.
The UEB-USMIB staff is lead by Dr. Alex Sánchez, and includes advanced technicians in statistics and bioinformatics, with quite long experience in clinical and biomedical research support and training activities.
It's a dynamic and stimulating working environment where you will be in contact with leading biomedical research.
